We do get bouts of irrational exuberance for some titles.

Keith Simanton, Managing Editor of IMDB, on why the database’s top 250 films list allows recent favorites to jump so high in the rankings. I remember leaving the theater after the midnight showing of The Matrix Reloaded, thinking that it may have been one of the best movies I had ever seen. I wouldn’t so much call this personal irrational exuberance as I would naïve adolescent stupidity.
